Ls400 Speaker

Well this sucks…the dealer wants about nine hundred bucks to replace the speakers in the right front door. I have the nakamichi premium sound system in a 93 ls400. any suggestions of a replacement speaker, similar power rating etc. any suggestions appreciated…

Can you find a scrappy and are you sure it just the speaker and not the amp as $900 sound a bit more like the amp not the speaker were you based.

also post any info that is on the rear of the speaker

You can replace those speakers with Pyle speakers part # PLM-45 they are a pretty close match on all the specs. You can buy them at MCM Electronics pretty cheap as I recall.

I have a similar problem to Sonny 4444. My dealer is telling me that both rear door speakers and the front right door speaker are "blown". However I have no reason to believe that they did anything but turn it on and "hear nothing". Don't trust this dealer as they told me to replace a 1991 transmission for $5200 and Aamco did a diagnostic and said the fluid was low ($150) !!! The dealer is saying $600 each for the speakers, plus $850 for Power steering pump (slight leak), $600 for Lower ball joints (worn), and $600 for rear axle boots. All this for a 1991 with 79,000 miles !!!

1- Anyone know a mechanic in or near Manhattan who does good work on Lexus ?

2- Anyone know What to get to replace speakers and how to do it myself?

3- Anyone wanna buy it?
