Cheap Spoiler

hey,

Ive been loooking for a cheap spoiler (Uk sports style spoiler)for some time, found something on eBay which is from Hong Kong, emailed the seller and asked how much it would cost - was told it would $80 for spoiler and $40 for shipping to UK.

Thats a fraction of the price i can get it from Uk or US!!

It just sounds to good to be true!!!!

What u guys think??

Just got email from him, said it would cost $175 for a painted spoiler to sent to the Uk!!!!!! (wow)

I cannot seem to find very much on the site.. only has a few things.

Best thing is to make sure you use a credit card and not a debit card. At least then you can claim money back if they dont deliver.

thx 4 that, will definitely use a Credit Card. I have 2 give him paint code etc so it can be painted b 4 hand.

Beware of import duty.

I got my spoiler from www.spoilerdepot.com, and got stiffed £34, even though the parcel was marked gift.

Get the item sent to a business address. ;)

hmm i never knew that a business address let you off customs mate

i had some stuff sent over from the states ie. stereo face plate etc and i never got charged etc

I had the item insured, therefore it's value was on the parcel.

Customs jump in and "excuse me sir!!"

I had an other item again, insured with a similar value, but sent to company address.

No customs charge. :)

I got my spoiler :D :D

Had to pay c&e charge tho £24!! In total the spoiler cost £135, painted.

Only thing i wana change is the cover for the brake light ...its red, i prefer the clear like UK sports spoiler.

Does anyone knw if i can just buy this alone, and what part number it is?

you dont have to import tax under a certain amount not 100% on the exact amount i think it is about £50 any thing above that you pay duty. One thing that i was thinking was about it comdeing sprayed are you sure it will be the right shade?

Actually the tax was only £11ish , but they charge Parcel force clearance charges!!1 £13!!!

I thought the colour was a little lighter at first glance, but its a perfect match :) :)

Which Spoiler was this? the lip one or the big one?

Im after one myself but I want the big one!!
