General Question On Car Audio

Guys, not a Lexus question, but...

My wife wants to use her iPaq as an MP3 player in her car - I removed the GPS/CD/Tuner head unit today expecting to see two phone connections as the head unit has an AUX button - but I couldn't see anything other than some square looking connections that I assume the AUX device uses. My question is, is it possible to get a cable of some kind that would allow me to convert a standard male phono to this odd connection?

I had hoped to connect a "3.5 jack - 2 phone" lead to the head unit and run the cable behind the dash and out under the heating so that she could connect her iPaq (with 512MB SD Card) using the 3.5 jack. The annoying thing is the Micra she traded in had exactly this!

Could the square connectors be optical inputs maybe?

what is the car and head unit

It is a Honda CR-V with an OEM head unit, I think it is made by Alpine.

No it's white - I'm thinking I'll just take it down to the local audio fitter and get him to check it out - might even get a quote for a Denison unit instead of paying the 300.00 for the 512MB SD card.
