Cd Changer Instatalled But Internal Dash Fuse Blown

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have recently fitted a cd changer to my IS200, 2000 SE. I've used a Sony FM modulator & Sony 10 disc changer and have connected this to what I believe to be the stereo perm live, live and negative wire's attaching to the back of the stereo.

The CD changer and modulator work perfectly and sound qaulity is very good (id recommend anyone with the dredded ERRO3 message to give this a go, as with this model you can insert the cd changer control unit into the centre consol of your IS200).

However although all the audio equipment works fine, the dash illumination fuse keeps blowing (ie every time i insert a new fuse, as soon as i turn the lights on it blowes).

I can only assume ive connected to the wrong live on the back of the stereo :shutit: ???

Can anyone please help.

Cheers guys

p.s if anyone is interested the link is below for changer and modulator I used.
