I may be incorrect, but the Sport grilles aren't available in the Scarlatti Red, only in colours pre-2002...

Can buy one and then get it painted.

There was a go ripping people off on eBay and charging £60 ish for the sport grills that you could buy from the dealer pre painted but if he's selling one in your colour and he's painted then that would be a good price!

with it being such a small item it's dead easy to paint and laquer DIY style!

If you can do a good job yourself then you can buy one from the dealer for £30 ish quid and then spray it yourself

Used to spray cars myself but that was about 10 years ago. Besides, I dont have the gear to paint it and aerosol never looks as good. Saying that, I probably cant get it in aerosol form.

You are right abouth the scarletti red issue, it never came in that colour so finding someone who has one in that colour, AND wants to part with it will be a tad difficult.

I will have a nosey around, ask a few people, etc.

our local scarlatti red IS200 owner has just replaced her standard grille for a sport one, but its in black, not sure whether I like it

Its a very small section that will be sprayed so aerosol paint is fine for it.

I know loads of people that do little bits themselves with Halford paints, just so long as its not Plat Ice cos they screwed tht up for me.
