One For The Chilli Heads....

Well, where do i begin.....

Friend of mine went to the Michaud's chilli farm in Dorset on Sunday and brought me back a 3 ft tall Dorset naga plant (similar to what i've been growing for the past month now) laiden with about 35 fruit. Of the 10 or so ripe fruit we decided to pick a small one, halve it and eat it raw (the 2 of us are known for our lack of regard for our bodies :shutit: ) They can't be that bad i thought............ WRONG!!!!! my eyes felt like they were going to pop out my head and my mouth was on fire!!! i have never eaten anything that hot in my life, and i've had blairs pepper extract sauces etc etc. Now i'm a big lover of hot food and chilli's are apassion of mine....BUT....these things are PURE EVIL, there's no other words to describe them!!!

These naga's are likely to be >1.5 million SHU, due to their optimised growing conditions and the increased stress placed on the plant by having it potted in a pot too small for its size. That scoville rating is about 1000 times hotter than hot tobasco sauce and about 4 times as hot as a red savina (previously the hottest chilli in the world).

all i can say is, i hope my little seedlings grow into something of this ferosity - they are the spawn of evil, but i wouldn't have it any other way!!

The next meet i attend, i will bring one of these innocent looking beast along and it will be mandatory for anyone present to have a try :lol:
