Anybody Had Paintshield Applied To Prevent Stonechips?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of getting this done on the new car, anybody have any experiences?

Above link re-routes you to the base in UK.

I've known a lot of the 350z guys who've had it done and swear by it ...... seen it in the flesh at JAE

Personally I chose not to on my 350z and didn't even consider it on my other half's Supra ....... I would rather have the stone chips and use a touch up paint  It IS good however for areas inside wheel arches and on side skirts which are small and complex enough that you won't notice the edges of the film ........ but I've never been able to find pre cut pieces.

IMHO Yes it stops stone chips but it doesn't look anywhere near a s good as unprotected paintwork so why have it on.

Despite what people say you can see it when applied and I don't think it's an enhancement. If the installation goes wrong it's fugly and really is a mess. The guy who did the 350's was very good ..... if you want contact details I'll happily get them for you ..... Tom I think his name was.
