i have an rx300 2002 model, with touch screen sat nav, i tried to upgrade the dvd but to no avail, the dvd said faulty disc. is there any particular way you have to load the new disc.

No particular way, you just need the correct disc for your system. There are 3 or 4 different revisions of the Lexus DVD Nav unit which require different discs. Your one is probably a series 2.
