Springs?

Following Robs thread I thought I'd ask the question again.........

......What kind of difference do springs make to the ride?

The only reason I ask is because I can't afford coilovers until after my wedding, so I thought I would look at springs for now. Currently the ride feels quite hard and if springs make it harder I might reconsider and wait.

Springs will make it harder as far as i know.

Best just to save for some fully adjustable coilovers.

sorry mate, think i missed your post.

basically, in terms of ride hardness there really isn't too much difference. its ever so slightly firmer with the TTE's, but its hardly noticeable.

you have to bear in mind that other springs may be different to the TTE one's....

If you still using your standard dampers ? there really isn't too much difference :D

Thanks guy's I might have to wait for coilover then, I whince everytime I drive over a slight bump or pot hole.....I don't think my teeth can take anymore lol

Assuming the drop is reasonable.... 30mm then the ride quality is not noticablly compromised....

Apart from the cosmetic gains the benefits are the lower centre of gravity... Less body roll and the ability to have a more aggressive Geometry set-up without compromising the tyres.
