Complete Interior – Is This A Decent Price?

Hi,

I’ve just come across a breaker who’s got a complete half leather interior for sale. He currently wants 9000 kr (£720) for the front seats (heated and electronic maneuvered), back seat, door cards, sealings and the shelf (whatever it’s called) behind the back seat. It’s taken off a model 2004 IS200 with just 5130 miles (yes, your miles) behind it.

Do you think this is a decent price, or should I keep looking?

I paid £500 for mine and then sold my existing half leather.

Another member paid £350 for a full set.

The value is really up to you and local market forces and how often they become available.

The real question is do you think it's good value ?

I'd say thats not too bad if its all in new(ish) condition, and as Wozza says, how available are they to you?

I'm sure you could find cheaper, but it might not be easy or in as good a condition!

Personally i think thats well expensive for a half leather interior.

Plenty cheaper on eBay now and again.

Thank you both! I've decided to buy the interior. There are 1225 IS200s in sweden, of which most of them are from -99 or -00, so the odds of an 04 model crashing aren't that high.

What differs the 04 interior from my 00 one? I know there are chrome rings around the front speakers and it says Lexus on the rear speaker frames(?), but are there more differences?

The problem would be to ship them over here. I believe that's quite expensive, but I'm not sure.

Early 2000 cars only had the drivers seat electric rather than both. (no idea if the loom would be there)

Apart from that you should be fine.

As price goes, I recall that Sweden isnt exactly the cheapest of places in the first place, so you would have a better idea of value for money than us.

I humbly aologise, I flicked through and thought you were talking about a Full Leather interior.

(sorry under lots of stress at the moment)

In the UK the half leather interiors go for about £170 for a really good condition one.

I'd say it was overpriced mate.

Yeh i'd have to agree with wozza, I only paid £200 for the full interior for mine, you can get them from eBay quite regularly, I can't see the postage being anymore then £200 but I could be wrong.

Half leather interiors are not that expensive ive been looking around an seam for a decent one your looking £300-400ish

I decided to buy the interior I've found here in Sweden, after I found out how much a new one is (~100.000kr ~£8000).

Now, is it possible to take the new interior with me, in my car or do I need a bigger car?

you can get the interior in your car ive done it before its a squeeze but it can be done,ive managed to fit in both front and rear seats,whole carpet and all interior trim inc doorcards but you are better off doing it in a van or estate
