It spoils the car mate. They all scream "look at me, look at me" and removes the refinement and smoothness of the interior.

It looks like an 80's Russian cockpit. Even Michael Knight wouldn't have put up with those.

I would put all five switches in a longer, thinner black box just below your heater switches where 3 of them are now.

Say, something like this which is only small and you could adapt :

Or make up your own using various type of switches, some lighted even :

Or At least have some black covers like these which would take away the stark contrast :

Agreed. Tacky is what springs to my mind. There's ways of putting switches into cars, and that's not it!

Yes - you are wright, same as bigger alloys, more chrome, sport grill etc etc ... :)

I think thats good idea - and I'm planing to do that after when I decided to change my original radi to 1 DIN aftermarket one

I will be honest - I bought some of them and ... they looks like from Polish FIAT 125p - aaaagh - terrible. (I have nothing against Polish - I'm one of them :) ) Personaly - I don't like the original buttons in Lex. This is 2004 and looks like 1985 design (I know - its 1999 design but mine Jaguar 1994 was looking better).

If we talking about contrast - I think the IS200 interior is boooooring ;) So I'm trying to do something with this - some day it will be perfect ;)

This is under construction now and to the final stage lot's can change. This constuction is very easy to uninstall - with no signs of doing anything (if I will decide to sell this car oneday). It will leave only two holes on panel with heated seats buttons, but I have another panel (just in case ;) ). So as you can see - its some like experiment - You will never know how it's looks like before you will try.

Any more opinions will be most welcome :)
