Is Multimedia Unit - Voice Command List

Recommended Posts

As there is no voice command list in the manual I am going to create one based on the information on this forum (there is a list of them on here taken from the US site).

I will design it so it can be printed out from MS Word in booklet form and easy to reference.

I'm working on it as we speak - watch this space.....

That's a cracking idea. It should save me ages trying to figure the thing out.

many thanks

It's coming along nicely. I will also be doing a list of top 20 or 30 useful commands for everyday use.

I asked myself why have a great feature like this and only know a few commands ?

In a couple of weeks I'll be fluent in the language !

I don't know if it is just my accent or intentional but if I tell it to "something off", she says "Showing airport icons" which really tickled me.

I had the same, someone in Lexus has a sense of humour...in the same vein try 'something me' ...she says "showing all hotel icons"

With regards to the word commands, it's already in the software through the help screen/command.... it lists most but not all verbal commands. Phone commands have to be mostly set independent of this listing...my usual one is 'Phone Home'.

Or use this, although it still doesn't include all as it doesn't list two that I use quite often 'I'm Hungry' , and 'Go Home' :-

Drat ! Cheers Tango. Back to the drawing board....

My version of the Lexus voice command list is due for release soon. The one that is on the Multimedia unit (as Tango has published above) is not logical at all.

It has some commands in the navi/guidance section that are just map view commands like split screen, zoom in etc.

Also there are some commands that are useless (eg track up, down, disk up down) that's easier with the steering wheel button.

Some of the commands listed are duplicated so I've removed them as well so it's a cut down list.

Watch this space....
