Hi

I have done a quick search but cant find anything.

Car has been fine, recently had MOT with no probs, Get in my car this morning and Engine Light is On and Traction Control Light is Flashing.

Pressing the TRC button makes no difference, I dont want to reset the ECU until I hear from somebody that has done that (dont want to hide the problem and make it untracable)

Can anybody help?

Sounds like coilpack has gone, but could also be O2 sensor, you need to have the code read to know for sure.

Nothing wrong in re-setting your ecu, if the problem is there, it will come back anyway, and it will clear any old codes that have been stored in the ecu, then you will know for sure what code it is showing.

Ok, thanks for the reply, I will try a re-set.

Engine is running fine so i may rule out coil pack, i dont know what an O2 sensor does.

What a great day! sometimes its easier to stay in bed as my girlfriends car got 2 punctures at the rear this morning too.

Many Thanks

Its difficult to tell the difference with 1 coilpack down, as your engine will still run smooth :D

The 2 main things that put your light on, are what ive said, but you really need to find out the code 1st :D
