Sxe 10 Or Gxe 10 ?

Recommended Posts

While searching for parts on US and Japanese websites  , I have noticed that there are 2 references for the IS models : SXE-10 and GXE-10, what is it about ?

Thanks

Thanks mates :P

That means that for body parts, it does not matter :yahoo:

it is only for engine ones I have to care :hehe:

btw, Supracharched, I've spoken with my engine specialist and we are going for a twin turbos  (maybe Garrett T2 but I would like bigger ones :withstupid: )

Generally speaking the answer would be yes..

The IS300 does weigh more than the IS200/Altezza, so has higher rated springs as standard.

But Sussy's designed for the IS300 will fit an IS200.

With regard to exhausts the IS200/300 share the same rear section. But the manifold on the IS300 will not fit

an IS200.

The IS300 uses the 2JZ-GE engine, the IS200/Altezza AS200 use the 1G-FE, and the Altezza RS200 uses the 3S-GE.

So you can't for example fit a complete IS300 manifold system to a IS200/Altezza.

But you can fit a rear section exhaust on the IS200/Altezza that has been designed for the IS300 e.g.

HKS Hiper Muffler Exhaust

If you do want to fit something to an IS200, or Altezza import, then you're best bet is ask someone on LOC, just in case.

Can't say what the regulations in Belguim are, but the Hiper Muffler is OK in the UK...

If you're really worried about noise, then go for the HKS Super Dragger II.

It's a bit quiter than the Muffler, but offers about the same performance.....

Mine is a personnaly made one (only the rear section as the pic GRiM uploaded), It is made of stainless steel of 68cms diameter all along, no silencers at all :whistling::blush: There only are the 2 precats and the precat.

It is about 120dB outside  , but it shall be quieter when the turbos will be installed The limit is 85 dB in France, but in France any mod is forbidden even changing the muffler, the shocks, the rims for bigger ones :duh: :(

The only thing that really is forbidden is to get caught :hehe:
