18" Or 19" Alloys & Tyres

Hi Guys, need some help here, would like to change the 17" alloys & tyres on my IS220D for something bigger, either 18" or 19" with whatever sizes tyres that fit, but i still want the comfort i got now with my 17", so which size is better suited for me ? 18" or 19", and also how much off will the speed reading be with those 2 size alloys and tyres? and since my car is red, what color you guys think best suited? silver, black or chrome? any advices will be very grateful...thank in adance guys... :winky: :winky:

To make the least difference id go with 18's but even these will not be as good as the 17's for comfort. As for the speedo being out - none as the bigger wheel you fit the lower the profile of tyre so the difference is minimal

Personally id go for "18" mate ( silver ) 225/40/18 front.....255/40/18 rear.....

Dont know about your is220d mate, but with all the car's ive had in the past, you will not have much comfort with 19inch fitted

Yes i think he has 19inch fitted, he might be better to say what the ride is like, in the is250 :D

you do loose comfort with 19" or even 18" as there is much less rubber between you and the road. I have 19" on my 250 and it is quite a bit harder although IMO well worth it for the looks!!
