Just Bought A Used Gs300. Shudn't I Get Driveaway Cover?

HI there, new here so i apologise for the quick post.

Just bought a used gs 300 from the dealer. I was under the impression that with any car u buy from the dealer they give you 1 week insurance so u got thje timne to then go sort ur own insurance out. This is what they did when i bought a nissan and a mini

Asking the relevant dealer seems a logical step?

i had this option when i purchased my gs300 second hand from a non lexus dealer. but not all dealers offer this. you'd know you have cover if you had to speak to the insurance company to answer questions. if you did not speak to the insurance company you do not have cover.

i would rather go and get proper insurance, at least if i wrote the car off a mile down the road i might stand a chance of getting the car paid for by the insurers. Who knows what would happen with these temporary policies.

I agree. I also took out GAP return to invoice price. Lexus wanted silly money but I got cover for 3 years, including my excess for £112 which I feel is worthwhile to ensure full payment if written off.

Lexus quoted me silly money for the GAP insurance too. 10 minutes on line gave me the cheapest quote, which I then printed off and took to Lexus who matched the price - everything's negotiable!
