is where it is. But I'm also hoping that no one will buy it so I can still cruise in style. Perhaps someone will buy my Nissan S-Cargo instead (Also posted). Having retired, I'm shedding possessions a bit (even the speakers! Duos on sale too!) Lots of CDs etc. Life gets too cluttered?

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi Chris,

Keep the lexus but sell those Duo`s....great sound but UGLY!!!! Had a demo years back and was impressed but had to turn to B+W for the "plain" looks. Doubt they would be allowed in my house, suprised I`ve got away with having speakers in the lounge at all with my wife!

Good luck with the sale mate, that Nissan thing sure does look weird!

I think I've asked you about those speakers before, but I still think they look awesome (as long as you have a big enough room) - do any AV stores sell this stuff? I'd love to hear what they sound like..........

How do they compare to proper top end speakers that you'd pay a similar price for? The only thing I can think of that are kind of comparable are the Dalek like B&Os, but haven't had a chance to hear those yet either (although reviews are good)

I went to BCA Bedford a few weeks ago and a LS400 Series IV DHP in silver with 104k went under the hammer. It was pretty clean, the bonnet needed machine polishing/maybe painting and the 4 DHP alloys were all bubbling and needed sorting. Other than that it was a nice car, it had 2 brand spanking new tyres on the front and looked generally well looked after.

Now this car is almost identical to mine in looks, age mileage etc. so I was very keen to see what it sold for. I guess my face was a picture when it made £1975 (which was over reserve so it really did sell). A trader bought it, cleaned it and put it straight onto e-bay. It made £2700.

Your car is cleaner, better condition and lower mileage albeit older but I think it's fair to say that you will still be owning it next week. The whole used car market (along with the rest of our economy) is on its knees and it's hard to find a home for a 4.0 V8.

Looking at this from the other side, you clearly have a nice car, you know it's history and it's pre 2001 which means at £185 per annum you avoid the CO2 based car tax. I'd keep it.
