IVE JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT A SECOND HAND IS200

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS THE IDEAL TYRE PRESSURE FOR MY MICHELLIN'S 17's 215/45

There should be a sticker on either the passenger or driver door jam ( yhe bit you see when you open the door :) ).

But seriously... the IS200 does suffer from some tyre noise, most noticable at motorway speeds.

True - but also dependent on the type of tyre you have...

if they are rotational make sure they are on the right side i.e not opposite sides

When I bought by new lexus from motorpoint, Derby, I had a very bumpy ride all the way back home to Portsmouth. :o

I thought it might just be due to being a new car!! Then I had the sense to check the tire pressure and found out that they were at a mammoth 52 psi for my 215/45.

I suppose cars in Holland cruise usually at speeds of >160mph?

wouldn't know the average speed in Holland I'm afraid - but WAY over inflated if you ask me....

I think they should be about 34 depending on load and speed. Check the pillar when drivers door is open, it has a table for them on it.

the max speed in holland is 80mph

the over inflation is to stop "flat spots" on the tyres while the car is parked up for a time............i.e awaiting a buyer

thanks for the info. reducing the pressure down has made a big difference, obviously to the ride

Hi all

Seeing all your posts regarding tyre pressures on your IS200's I would be interested to know what the correct pressures are for the standard sport wheels on a GS300Mk1 with 45 profile 245's.

I have swopped from the standard GS300 Mk1 alloys and presume pressures are not the same.
