My LS is fitted with Impul Grantz chrome alloys ( fitted on when imported) but they are now in need of a refurb from accidental kerbing and the chrome is flaking off in places.

Question is can they be done in the UK and at what cost?

Or alternative is it possible to strip the chrome off and then recoat?

It is a well known fact that your car has to be cool to stop chrome flaking off..... you need to fit a fridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you will find it will cost loads to rechrome them as stripping the old chrome off is expensive, maybe cheaper to buy some new ones....

Although in this credit squash time maybe prices will be cheaper....

Good Luck, let us know if you get a price.

Pete

There is a guy in Glasgow that can do a chrome effect powdercoat, my mate his just got his split rim centres back and they look immense. Plus with them being powder coat they wont strip or discolour as easily as a chrome coating. I can get the contact details if you're interested.
