Rx400h Se-l Mark Levinson Car Stereo Removal

Hello All,

I'm new to this website, but already have found out so much useful information on my 2006 RX400h, this is a great forum.

One of the things i found was a cheaper option for ipod integration. I bought a GROM interface and it arrived this morning. I am very eager to try it, but i don't have the first clue where to start in removing the stereo in my car! I have the Mark Levinson version. Can anyone help?

Take a look at my other posting as I have just done the GROM AUDIO install on my RX!

Thank you Normski, I'm still a little nervous about trying to take the units apart myself, but i really don't fancy paying the price of the GROM again on Lexus labour costs!!!

Just don't drop the screw into the bowels of the car as it will rattle forever and the cost of recovering it will be much more than the saving you will be making by installing the unit yourself!

I dropped one of the dreaded screws when fitting my VAIS iPod thingy and fotunately it is not rattling at all.....

Use double sided carpet tape on your socket and you shouldnt drop anything. That stuff hold like a fiend - only trouble is it leaves a bit behind on the bolts sometime but a small price to pay.
