Sniper Just Been Sniped ! (ebay)

Well serve's my right admittedly but i have just been sniped on eBay after waiting for the last 1/2 minute for an auction to end on a 99 IS200 sport.

Im gutted but admittedly i was sniping also , i put in a £2000 bid with 22 seconds to go and was outbid @ £2100 so i quickly refreshed and slapped in a £2200 bid but unfortunately this was not my time i was killed in action as i didnt leave myself the time , the auction ended and some lucky camper won the car @ £2100.

Oh well onwards and upwards i suppose theres a couple more up in the next week im going to be keeping a closer eye on (and a quicker finger LOL)

God damn i have just been served a piece of my own medicine , i think i may hang up my sniping boots. :shutit:

I know what you mean.

What I do now is decide the max I'm prepared to pay, put the figure in, and hit the confirm price with 3 seconds to go.

You'll either get it, or it will go for more than you were prepared to pay.

Therefore happy at either outcome

Sorry to hear that matey, bit of a bugger when that happens ;) I use my two laptops now if i'm after something badly and have different bids waiting on both for the time to get close to the end, then if someone does bid higher i have a back up with my max price :D

Yeah i use goofbay alot and snipe alot but dont allow as much as 22 sec, i tend to set it within 1 sec the system puts my bid in, which is normally the highest price i am willing to pay, so if its high enough i win, or as said earlier if it goes above it doesnt bother me casue it above what i was willing to pay
