Coil For 1999 Altezza Rs200

Hi All,

I was driving when all of a sudden my car started making a noise like it wasn't firing on all 4 cyclinders.

I then pulled the plugs of the coils and listerned to the tone of the engine.

I found that when I removed one of them the engine noise didn't alter.

I then swapped a coil for another one which transferred the fault.

After doing this I am putting the fault it down to a coil.

Therefore I am asking if anyone knows where is the best place to buy one? And how much would it cost?

Either should work - guessing one has been superceded maybe? Is there not a part number on the coilpack itself?

I had a quick look at some of the tuners mate and they don't show stock, the local Toyota would probably be the quickest option for these mate, I ordered one for mine a few weeks back and it was in stock at the dealer within 48 hours :)

May be worth you trying Lexus and asking for the gold discount to get a bit more off :)

No worries fella, if they don't play ball try a couple, when I was asking for parts for mine some refused as they said it wasn't showing on their system (they weren't changing the EPC to Japan, only looking in Europe), whereas some could find some bits and others could find all of them :)

In the past, some have recommended Japarts for much cheaper (than Lexus) coil packs for the IS200. Don't know if the same parts are used on the 3S-GE engine but might be worth trying Japarts ?
