Hi.

Dash of my 1999 Ls400 has lost all electrics after I jumped started the car when the Battery went flat. Everthing else is ok and car starts but the dash is completely blank. I have booked the car in for next Wednesday for the local lexus garage to find the fault. They said that a circuit may have gone faulty when I jumped started the car.

I would appreciate if anyone could advise on this matter.

Many thanks in anticipation.

There is already a very good thread for this here

I fixed mine using this :-)

Hi dont think that thread will help as its for the common blinky dash problems on the early pre 95 LS 400, hopefully you have only blown a relay or fuse, if not a used dash is your best option

I now have the problem resolved. I checked all the fuses and they proved ok. I disconnected the negative terminal of the Battery in preparation to remove the dash or instrument panel. I got as far as removing the lower front of the panel and removed the two connection plugs; one on the right being for the security red light. Not knowing how to take the dash out without causing damage I decided to reconnect all again and when I switched on the ignition the dash lit up as normal. Much relieved for not having to take the car to the lexus garage as they had said to me on the phone that an electric circuit may have been damaged when the car was jumped started.

Many thanks to those who replied to my post.
