H.i.d. Conversion Kit Help Needed

Recommended Posts

 Hi Guys-----I have bought a H.I.D. conversion set for my 97 ls400---6k-h4-hid kit,I thought I would do a dry run to make sure every thing would fit before drilling any holes, this kit is supposed to be for the dipped lights. The dipped circuit bulb connector has Three prongs on it,thje H.I.D. Kit has only Two spade connectors Red+Black.

I then had a look at the main beam light and noticed that the connector on this light only has two prongs on it???? could it be that I was sent the wrong Kit

if so will this set be OK for the main beam lights??

Cheers SAM

h4 is for the full beams and h3 for dipped ones mate so you have got the wrong kit. instead of drilling holes why dont you use velcro stips alot easier. i have used them and they work perfectly fine mate.

Back once again---I have tried to sort out the problem with the lights, the spade connectors on the new lights are at least twice the size of the old ones so they will not fit into the wiring plug-this part can be sorted out by replacing them with smaller ones, the new bulbs are too big to go into the bulb holder and the instructions say to use a 22mm hole cutter on the back plate of the head light unit.if I do this I will loose the securing clips that secure the fittings in place,so it looks like I have a set of H.I.D's surplus to requirement.

Thanks for all your help SAM
