Changing Rear Fogs To Brakes

Recommended Posts

The guide says its not road legal?

Why's that? So long as it lights up red when you brake I didnt realise there was an issue?

it is deemed not fit for road use as you should never have a fog light, light up as a brake light(i didnt care and i have done the conversion and it always gets a puzzled look from other is200 owners)the chances of you getting grief over this is slim to none as if you are asked to do the light test ie press your brakes put your fog on indicate etc all your lights will work even mot wise your car will pass.(i looked in to this the fog lights on the boot are the same part number as the lights on the boot of a altezza)

i've managed to go one better though i got some pulsing brake lights off micromarc a while ago and fitted them and guess what i managed to find an other set on eBay ie 4 out of my 5 brake lights will pulse under hard braking i will post a vid of this. so they will be getting fitted soon as i'm back from egypt
