Ls460 New Owner, Question

Recommended Posts

Greetings all. Just purchased a 57 plate 460 SE-L. Love the car.

A question for you. Has anyone ever successfully fitted one of these to a UK 460, to allow phone/nav functions (and DVD for front passenger) in motion ?

Have ordered one from the US, will see how it goes. But if someones tried and didn't work will send it back...

cheers

Hello, great choice of car. What Sat nav disc do you have? The latest '09' allows you now to input destination while on the move. For the phone just put in your most used numbers into speed dial. Save yourself the money and just buy the latest nav disk!

Never heard of that company before, nor in the LS460, but others have fitted similar devices into other models and they have worked perfectly so there's no reason why it shouldn't. Good luck with it and look forward to the results :)

Not sure - will check. The car is a 57 plate, but bought it approved used from a dealer. I'll see if they can give me the latest disk. Thanks for the heads up !

I'll prob still go ahead with trying to fit the override, as would allow front passenger to watch DVD in front console - let you know how it goes.

cheers

  • 2 weeks later...

FYI - this install was succesful. Note that for anyone trying the same, when you install the unit, the gray gps antenna bypass lead does not need to be connected in UK models. (infact scuppered me at first since there was no where to connect this - turns out you can _only_ connect on US model and not required for uk)
