Broken Key

I know its been covered a billion times, used the search function, but just wanted to make sure that what ive found is correct.

my key snapped the other night, super glued it back together.ive bought a new blank and had it cut, but my concern is, that it has absolutely nothing in, no connection for a Battery or anything, just a completely empty shell

if i now buy this key,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-TRANSPONDER-CA...id=p3286.c0.m14,

will it then just be a case of transferring the Battery and transponder from the eBay key, then the buttons from my current key, into the newly cut key

Sorry again, just want to make sure so that i dont have to pay out for more because i got it wrong originally
