Security? So now someone can break in to your car and just start it?

I still think you need to insert the key in the barrel but you will not turn it. You just use the button to start the car. Better to double check though.

I don't see the point in adding a button when you still have to insert the key. I'll say Keyless go or nothing.

yeah well...if you're good with electronic stuff, you can get one of those USB's with fingerprint recognition and somehow attach it to the button and voila ...you will be the only one who is going to start the car. Alot of work though but it will be a first. :)

That could be possibility :) Think Toyota Yaris has keyless go to. Yaris = cheaper = kids buy it = better chance of finding a wreck?

Haha at the moment I'm driving a rental car and the only thing thats not better/missing in my IS is the keyless go ^_^

Suzuki Swift 2008 is crap compared to a IS 2001 so being without keyless go dosen't bother me to much :D

If you get it from a salvage Prius/Yaris it shouldn't be to expensive. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ignition on a IS 200?

Ill probably leave it to the experts to fit, just wondered how much it cost because im guessing theres abit of wiring to do as youll need to think about the immobiliser

thanks Phill
