Is200 Key Wont Turn In Ignition

hey guys,

strange thing, key was workin fine then tried this mornin and the key seems to go all the way in but wont turn?????

yes ive tried movin the steerin wheel, a squirt of wd40, gentle tap with the smallest hammer in the world

looks like a bit of a mission to strip it down, anyone got any ideas????

nothing to do with the keys.....

you need to give it good hard hit that norm works....

otherwise look in thw owrkshop section - i wrote a guide on changing the barrel its a 30 min job max start to finish.

i can say this thats it very hard to fix the barrel because of the keys and how there cut but it may have a starter unit on the back of the barrel and that can be broke. asked a friend about this at toyota and if you can look behind the barrel and see if there is a starter unit then you can check this first. if not it could be a new barrel
