New Is 300 Owner

Hi All,

Just wanted to say Hi, Just picked up my Lexus IS 300 from Lexus Main Dealers in Croydon UK. It's Platinum ICE, owned by an elderly gent before me, with full Lexus Service History... Did a lot of research on them before buying using this forum, so just wanted to say thanks.

It's bog standard at the moment! But I literally just got off the phone and ordered a set of 19's x 7.5J. The info on here really helped to ensure I found a set of wheels with the correct offset.

With the 19's I'm thinking about Coilover suspension - most people here rate the HSD Coilovers so probably look at those. I have a set of TEIN SuperStreet dampers on my other car and they are too hard for my liking for the Lexus.

Any recommendations on the Suspension? So far seen BC Racing, HSD Coilovers and there is a group buy for JapSpeed, which I don't mind jumping on, but just not familiar with the brand...

Welcome to the club and congrats on the new car!

I think most recommend the TTE or Tein coilovers, not really sure about others although I know many suffer from knocking on the IS.

The sport grille is cheap now- dealers are trying to get rid of old stock for the IS200/300. I think that sport grille cost £200 a few years ago!
