Is220D Steaming Up?

Recommended Posts

Does this happen to everyone else?

As soon as the car warms up and i have the climate control set to 20C normally, the windscreen and side windows start to steam up REALLY quickly?

Found myself not using climate control because ive constantly got the windscreen demister on!!!

Help appreciated

Check for wet carpets, headlining, water in the boot etc.

Use aircon to demist it, sounds like water inside somewhere...

agree above.

you may have a water leak somewhere, I had one in my boot, it was the back screen. (screen was taken up and put back on, sorted)

So i will check:

Front foot wells,

Rear foot wells,

Rear parcel shelf by screen.

Hi James

My 09 model mists up at the back in wet weather but I can't figure out why either - no leaks found. My old one didn't do this so seems to be some change to the air circulation in latest model.

Demist with aircon on and rear vents open seems to work best to clear.

I'll be interested in a solution as well.

On most cars if you have the air on recirculate it will warm up quicker in the car but if left on recirculate will steam up, Dont know if this is your problem though. try (if applicable) the fresh air option.

Thanks Dylan

Doesnt seem to be doing it lately, but then again it is quite warm!!!
