have a slight box wine in 1st and second are there a few like this also is it ok to keep driving.

was going to buy a second hand one and rebuild it is it worth it. the car has only done 40k with full lexus history.

Manual gearbox is pretty poor tbh and the whine is normal in 1st and 2nd. Try changing the gearbox oil- this might make a difference.

cheers m8 thats made me feel better lol shall i just put 80w/90w cus thats what i have got ot work and its free lol .

Don't forget you only want a GL4 or GL3 oil in your gear box & the correct grade is 75w90.

Admittedly if you're going to have to rebuild in the near future it wont matter to much if you put GL5 in but you'll want new synchros when you do as it prematurely wears them.

My recomendation would be to get some Redline MT-90 or Amsoil MTG from Opie Oils.
