Brake Light On Dashboard Has Lit Up...help Guys..

Recommended Posts

I have purchased a lovely Lexus is200 sport recently but the brakes light on the dashboard is on all the time. I have changed the rear brake disc and brake pads but the light is still on. I am still driving it and there is no problem when Im braking and the handbrake works perfectly. Can anyone help with this problem??

its one of the rear brake lights out thats all,

try the one on the rear shelf its the normal culprit, or if youve changed the bulbs to LEDs it comes up as well

So is nothing major then? Cause I don't want to be driving then the brakes stop working. :P (sorry if it sound stupid but I am kinda worried)

just get a mate to press the brake as you stand behind the car and you should see the problem

ok, thanks. I will try that. So I guess the purpose for the brakes light on the dashboard is for the brakes light at the back only? So I guess there isn't a sensor for the actual brakes then?
