Interchanging Is200 Head Light On An Is300

Recommended Posts

Ok.

I have a lexus IS 300 that has had a crash and lost the passengers headlight. The price to get a new one and an ecu unit is working out stupidly expensive.

I wanted to know if it was possible to place a set of lexus IS200 lights in instead? The next question then is will it still pass an MOT on the UK that way?

Or would anyone be able to help with a cheap headlight ECu?

Any advice would be greatly appriciated at this point.

Thanks in advance.

yes is300 units are like the late is200 units with a hid unit in the base, these units go for 100 dollars or more each, you can use 200 lights but you will need to fix them to work on normal bulbs and not hids, or buy aftermarket hids for them.

Plus, the mounting to the wing is different between Halogen and HID OE units ;)
