Recommended Posts

First year with the Lexus and looking at getting winter tyres. Have been trying to buy some Lexus 16" wheels but not managed to get any yet for IS220D does anyone know if wheels of IS200 fit or if not what size winter tyres would fit my exisiting wheels, current tyre size is 225 45 17 front and 245 45 17 rear?

Try here for 16'' alloys :-

I have just bought some 205/55R16 Goodyears from Black Circles for these wheels, would prob cost you about £600 all in !!

I store my summer tyres outside with the following points from my local tyre centre:

- Take off the value covers if metal

- Store tyres side by side (not on top of each other) on a piece of wood so that they are not in direct contact with frozen concrete

- Use nitrogen to ensure better residual air content over winter

Also I cover them with a tarp to keep the worst of the weather off

Any other suggestions???

Yes, deflate them to around 10 psi to take the load off the sidewalls, and hang them off a central support rather than resting the tyre on the piece of wood..
