Hi guys im looking at getting a set of 18" wheels for my is200 they are 8j and have a 40 offset. Will they rub or stick out to far etc? ive looked at the online wheel offset calculators and it says they will stick out 8mm more than my current wheels which are 7j and have a 35 offset. I didnt know if that extra 8mm will make a huge difference and make them catch the arch lip or something. Cheers Rob

Anybody know if these will fit the is200 ok with no rubbing etc? standard ride height etc. forgot to say in the previous post they wheels are 8 j wide nave an offset of 40 and when ive used the wheel calculator it says they will sit 18mm further in and stick out an extra 8 mm. Just wondering if they will still clear the arches etc. Cheers Rob

Cheers for the info guys. Ive been looking at a few sets of wheels lately and theres a set which are 18" 8J and have an et of 35. Do you think i will be able to fit these fine with nu rubbing or scrubbing at all? says they will sit 13mm further in and also 13mm further out. Thats doesnt sound a lot but im just worried they might sit a bit to far out thats all. Also looking at a set of 18" 8J et 40 aswell but dont know which set would fit better and not rub. Sorry for all these questions by the way but had to many problems in the past with being sold wheels with wrong offsets etc. Cheers Rob

my 19" wheels are 40 offset, 8j. my tyre size is 215 35 19.

am sure 18" wheels will go straight on but as i said before my arches were rolled to make the 19's fit as it is lowered as well.

Ive just got my new wheels on the car and they seem to be fine. 18 " 8j with a 35 offset. The rears have 225 40 18 and the fronts are 215 35 18. If i wanted to lower the car in the future do you think i would need to change the rear tyres or get the lip on the arch rolled and how much could i possibly lower it by? im not looking to slam it to the floor but it has a really big arch gap at the moment and it looks *******. Cheers Rob

i would say 60mm is as low as you would want to go, ideally same size tyres all round if u do lower it ( 215 35 18 ). also check the rolling circumference of the tyre as having the wrong size will throw the speedo out.

i only have 215's on mine as 235's would rub the rolled arches.... Sue
