HI all, i need help. i recently started having intermittent starting issues on my 430.some days it starts first time,some days as if there is no power there. i have had the Battery checked and its 100 %( bosch silverline with 750 amps). there is no ' clicking ' on turnover to suggest the Battery.could it be the starting motor?. it has done 185 k with no probs. thanks guys

Well, in my previous car before Ls400 (Daewoo Matiz:D) I had similar issues and the problem was with minus (black) Battery connection, it was not 100% secure so sometimes when starting the car I turned the key and nothing happened,

I would definitely check the Battery connections first, if the ls430 has similar starter setup than ls400 then starter repair is a nightmare,

As above additionally check all the body earth connections to both the chassis and engine.

It could also be an immobiliser problem so make sure the keyfob/transponder Battery is also good. if the car doesn't receive the correct security code from the key it won't start.

Thanks for the tip.a new Battery nfor the fob seems to have made a big difference
