Newbie Question

Hello,

I'm a newbie on this forum.I'm looking to buy a lexus 400h 2007 SE.Can you please let me know how many stamps should this car have in their service book as I only want a car with a good service history.Also,how often lexus recommends to service rx 400h and does it have cambelt or chain? If cambelt how often you need to change it?

Any help from you guys would be much appreciated.

I think it needs servicing every 10,000 miles or every year if it doesn't do that many miles in a year. A 2007 car should have at least 4 stamps but could be more if its done more than 40k miles.

Mine is three and a bit years old and got serviced at 10k and then after 3 years (which was 17k) and I bought it at nearly 18k. It probably should have had another service in there somewhere but with that few miles I wasn't too worried.

Dunno about the cambelt. I guess I've got a few miles before I need to worry.

The 400h requires an Intermediate service every 10,000 miles or 1 year whichever comes first. Also a Full service every 20,000 miles or 2 years WCF.

The engine has a cambelt which should be changed at 100,000 miles.

Other replacements:

Spark plugs 60,000 miles

Brake fluid 2 years

Engine coolant 100,000 miles

Inverter coolant 100,000 miles

Air filter 40,000 miles/4 years
