F-Sport Hoshi Wheel Colours

Recommended Posts

Collected a 2010 F-Sport IS250 for my wife last week.

Disappointed to find that one of the front wheels is a different colour !

Three are the smoked silver finish, whereas one is more of a light grey.

I'd say it has been refurbed, (in the wrong colour), though can't be certain that it's not had an incorrect wheel fitted.

Anyone had a smoked silver wheel refurbed ? If so, was it a good match ?

The dealer is looking into this, though I'm not settling for anything less than a perfect match.

One thing I stipulated was that the paint and wheels had to be original.

Any help appreciated.

My 2011 SE-L wheels were refurbished after I purchased the car by Lexus as there were water marks between the lacquer and paint which couldn't be removed. Lexus were unable to match the colour, so in the end I decided to settle for a darker colour similar to the IS-F wheels instead. I now prefer the darker wheels on my car and the quality is second to none. The only problem was that the original centre caps were the old colour, so I changed them for black IS-F ones.

If they wont change the wheels for you, then see if they will refurbish all 4 so that you have a matching set.

I know Sunny K on here kerbed his Hoshi/F Sport wheel and found that Lexus were unable to match the colour as well, so it is a known problem

djanderson, Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your new car. I hope it gets sorted soon.

Problem's not with the new one (It's great, loving it and can't fault the dealer here). Problem is to do with my GS300 I traded in... To cut a long story short, they didn't settle the finance, so the finance company rightly got sticky and then fined me £60 for late settlement, the dealer owes me £84 (another long story), and top of that, I got a letter from DVLA saying the tax had expired and had not been renewed - sounds like they haven't returned the section on the V5. Problem is emails and phone calls were being ignored. So decided to let LUK sort it (hopefully)

Sorry to hi-jack your thread Bardolphs.
