Central Locking And Seat Belt Question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Have finally got into an IS200 and enjoying every minute of it but have a few questions:

1. My alarm fob doesn't work so for time being am just using key to lock and unlock doors. Is it possible to set the key to lock and unlock all the doors at the same time? I seem to have the "double locking system" so it means I have to use the door switch once I've opened the door - a bit of an inconvenience, so is there a way to turn off the double locking system?

2. My drivers seat belt has seen better days and am going to source a used one, has anyone changed one before? Would I need to disable the drivers side airbags or disconnect the Battery to do this?

Thanks for any help appreciated.

Cheers

D

After lots of interenet googling got my problems solved. In answer to my own questions this may help others.

1. no there isnt a way to disarm the double locking system that I could find.

2. when changing seat belts the Battery must be disconnected or a fault code will appear.

Think will live with the seat belt.

Cheers.
