Heated Seats - Not Sure If They're Working

Recommended Posts

I can't tell if my front heated seats are slow to warm up and weak or if they don't work at all. I think I've checked the fuse (under the bonnet) which appeared in order. Is there another way of checking and if they aren't working what are the possibilities of repair?

Hi

will the heated seats is a common failing part on the Mark 3 LS400 - its is very rarely found to be working - My Mark 3 had 73k on it and they were not working - I then bought another seat from a car which had done 50K and they had failed too - sadly there is no way round this fix unless you want to buy aftermarket heat filaments and have the seat re-upholstered

Mine doesn't have the heated seats being an import model but when I had the GS300 you could tell within a couple of minutes they were on. So if you cannot feel any heat within this time they will be failed. As Mark said it is normally the heater elements and replacement is quite a job.

Right now I would love mine to have some!!!

Bugger!

Ah well never mind - the rears work fine!

Are Mk4 seats the same - can they be fitted to a Mk3?
