Taillights Are Out!

Recommended Posts

Did you change any wiring before you had this problem or did it just happen?

First thing you need is the wiring diagram. Once you have that it is a case of tracing the wiring from the fuse to the switch and then to the bulb.

The wiring loom passes under the rear seat apparently and can over time get damaged so you could pull the bottom seat section out and check this.

Diagram available on the link for download not sure about the quality or reliability of the download it is merely an example of what you need.

I'm not sure if it is the same but on my LS there is a tail light monitoring module which tells you if one of the bulbs has blown, just wondered if the SC has a similar system and this could be the problem with your lights?

Have you tried running a seperate 12 volt feed to the tail lights to see if they then light up and then work backwards.

BTW are your number plate lights also off?
