GS450h F Sport review + GS300h due next year ?

Recommended Posts

The new 450h f sport is a great car, I took one out for a test drive yesterday, the old one was good but the new one is even better, I am awaiting delivery on mine, should be around the 5th July.

As for the GS300h, I don’t dispute the fact that it looks like it may happen, what I don’t understand is why have brought out the GS250 now and not just left it until the 300h is lunched, it will be more powerful, less road tax and more economical than the 250 and according to the article around the same price.

does seem a bit odd. The old petrol version existed for a while due to some people not wanting to compromise on the boot size. The newer 450h is much better so isn't such an issue.

Maybe they will be using a revised version of the 250 engine for the hybrid and as such needed to develop the 250 anyway? But I imagine they just needed to hit a certain price bracket which they couldn't do with the added cost of a hybrid.

Biggest disappointment with the new 450h for me was the continued use of NiMH batteries. Hopefully the 300h will adopt Lithium cells.
