Is300 Exhaust Tip/finisher

The end of the exhaust on my IS is looking rather manky. Is there any way I can do one (or all) of the following:

1) clean it up and get the shine back

2) replace the WHOLE tip after the backbox with a stainless one?

3) get a slip-on chrome effect one to slip over the one already there

???????????????

Does anyone know prices etc? And would option 2 need welding on?

hello mate there are many on eBay chrome tips not much money as well or try prolex uk for exhausts if you buy a universal backbox it may take some fitting ie exhaust place

have u got a pic, mine has the chrome tip that came on the 200 sport, it is removable so I can polish it up when its grubby, yours may have one if not u can get one on the bay and it'll fit perfectly

I'll get a pic up tomorrow, how do these slip on tips fit exactly.... Saw one on a Beemer today and it was sticking out about a foot, looked ridiculous?!

Mine looked awful when i bought the car a couple of years ago. I used some Autosol metal polish and steel wool and it came up a treat.

I think i have some pics somewhere which i'll post if you like. Not ure if they are before and after or just after ones.

Some autosol and fine steel wool does the trick ;)

The tail pipe on the Sport is removable? How do you get it off? Mine is not looking good (almost like mild steel), but I didn't know you could get it off to clean/buff it!

Sorry forgot to add some text to that post lol...

Lexus do a bolt on tail pipe in chrome, they just slide over and tighten on with an allen bolt underneath, can be found on eBay off a scrapper.
