Has anyone upgraded their Sat Nav system to 2012. Can you advise where I can buy the upgrade and how much I should expect to pay ? I have a 2003 SC430 with the original Sat Nav.

Upon recommendation of another member, I have just upgraded my sat-nav discs for my 2005 SC (had original discs).

You should note that if you can supply a valid vat number, you will be provided with a 'commercial' invoice, which is free of VAT.

Worth checking out, as this brings the cost to under £99.00, which is good value for a full set of original discs!

Hi, a bit late for this particular thread, but I updated my 2001SC vis Lexus Sheffied, for around £140. I have a couple of questions about the system, however; does this updated system NOT accept post code loadings? And is this system the same as is on my 2004 RX300? Thay appear to be the same visually. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

PS, regarding numbers of SCs, I have spotted at least 6 different ones in Sheffield over the last year...

Hi, no the updated disc(s) do not accept postcode loading on the older generation sat navs, basically its only the maps that are updated and believe me there have been loads of road/map changes since 2001 so although they may look the same they are not the same.Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for this - maybe it's time someone offered a bolt-on update for the earlier satnavs to upgrade them to current standards?! I should be so lucky....! The satnavs work quite well, but the lack of post-code input and the inability to set up destinations on the move is very frustrating, especially when compared with £100 off the shelf satnavs that are available these days. So, will the updated disc that I purchased for the SC430 (2001), work in the RX300 (2004)?
