Led Tail Lights On Phase 1

Recommended Posts

The facelift IS250/220d vehicles have slightly nicer looking rear lights compared with the ones on the pre-facelift. My 2007 220d has these older ones and that horrible orange bit... what were Lexus thinking!

Anyway, I can imagine retro fittng the facelift rear lights to my IS would be very costly because they're OEM parts, but what do you guys think about these?

I like em, i like some after market lights as long as there not OTT with loads of chrome, silver or blackened plastics which rarely suite any car in my opinion. These are nice tho, mainly stock red with the usual clear reverse lights. very suttle and with the added bonus of LEDs. they look good.

There is plenty of information on the US lexus sites where people have done the 'red out' mod on their tail lights. Basically tinted the amber bit red.

Looks quite decent TBH.

I know that a member on here has retrofitted the facelifted lights to a pre facelifted car, but only the outer section so far. I think the inner section can be done but requires some cutting of the boot lid iirc
