How To Permanently Disable Anti-Theft System On Ls400 1990

Recommended Posts

hi,

i just bought a LS400 from 1990 with 195.000 kms.

And would like to disable the anti-theft alarm system, in order to avoid Battery dry.

I have the master key and the sub key - Locking with the remote system when lock button is on off doesn't change anything. The red light is still on when locking.

Does anyboby know how to do it ? Any tutorial ?

I read somewhere about a green wire to be grounded. Anyone tested it ?

Many thanks

Rgds,

Thierry

I leave mine unlocked as its about the only way I know to keep the alarm off. Its still immobilised though so does drain the Battery but not quite as quickly. Just make sure you remove everything from the car and ensure you live in a good area! I'd perhaps consider buying a Battery charger. You could get a solar trickle charge which you could leave on the car when not in use?

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

The alarm system should not flatten your Battery under normal use, it will of course if the car is left for long periods of time.

There should be a remote locking on/off switch on the panel above the boot and fuel flap and it is recommended that this is turned to off if the car is to be left some time to save Battery current, all it means is you will have to lock and unlock the car with the key when it is off.

Removing an alarm system on any car is not an easy job and as mentioned could invalidate your insurance, cut the wrong wire and you may end up with a non starting car.

Finally no one is going to tell you how to bypass a cars alarm system even if they knew how to on a public forum it's a bit like giving your credit card details and PIN!
