Battery/radio Code

just a quickie ladies and gents... if i change/remove the Battery will i loose the radio code. ?

Chances are you will.

There may be a way of disabling the code whilst changing the Battery or acessing the information from the radio, have a look at your user handbook.

It is also said that the code is normally the last 3 or 4 digits of your VIN but if it has been changed beware.

Another option is to use a backup supply which normally connects to the cigar lighter so power remains on to the radio whilst the Battery is off.

After a search I found the information below, it would seem the radio is not coded.

The radio is not coded on the IS unless you have an after market one fitted.
