Looking at getting a new exhaust for my GS430 Sport in the next couple of months. Nothing wrong with current exhaust, just fancy getting some of that V8 growl going.

anyone used any places, especially around the Hampshire/Berkshire area to get a custom made cat back system? There are a couple of places on eBay doing them, one in Leeds for £299, but a fair treck in time and petrol to go there. I don't want straight through noise, just a light sport level.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Depends how far you want to travel and where you are in Hampshire. There's a place in East Sussex (Hove) that was recommended by one of the LOC members. They did the repair on my starter motor 3 months ago. An excellent garage and they specialise in custom made exhausts. They also specialise in Toyota/Lexus repairs, in fact I think the owner has a GS of some kind.,

If you Google Grove Garage Hove you'll find them. Certainly worth giving them a call.

Hello Rick,

I used a company called Longlife (they have depots nationwide) for my cat-back system on my LS. I tried getting in touch with a couple of the companies on eBay but they didn't bother to reply.

I paid £650 for a custom made stainless twin crossflow exhaust. It took 3 days for them to build and install the exhaust, the first day was taken up by trying to undo the manifold bolts!

The two big silencers in the picture have now been removed to give a real growl to the exhaust. It is probably louder than you are looking for so I would advise you have them in place.

Hope this helps.

Steve.
