Is Velvet Black The Same As Obsidian Black?

Recommended Posts

As above really as both they both have the paint code 212 and I want to make sure I get the right code for paint.

Thanks!

Tom

Turns out after more searching and other forums, they are the same colour.

Valvet Black is a non metallic, PAINT CODE 212

Obsidian Black is a Metallic, PAINT CODE 214.

They are not the same colour, totally different in fact

Hope this helps

Thanks,

Sorry should have pointed out that in the US there seems to be a discreprency in what they call paint code 212 (they have it as Obsidian Black also with code 212) and US forum members elsewhere have confirmed that although the names are different, it is the same thing.

In the UK, Velvet Black and Obsidian are indeed different with different codes.
